University of Waterloo presented Clearpath co-founders with UW Team Alumni Achievement Medal

(Kitchener, ON, Canada – November 27, 2014) Clearpath Robotics co-founders were presented with the University of Waterloo (UW) 2015 Faculty of Engineering Team Alumni Achievement Medal yesterday evening at the Waterloo Inn and Conference Centre. Partners, Matt Rendall, Ryan Gariepy, Bryan Webb and Pat Martinson established the Company during their tenure as undergraduate students in the Mechatronics Program.

“Our team is incredibly honored to be recognized with this award,” said Matt Rendall, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Clearpath Robotics. “The University of Waterloo has done a tremendous job of facilitating an ecosystem that inspires and supports innovation and entrepreneurial efforts. UW, and partnerships like the Accelerator Centre, provided us with the experience we needed to build a business that could scale.”

The UW Team Alumni Achievement Medal recognizes significant contributions of a group of Waterloo Engineering alumni who have distinguished themselves through their professional achievements and business accomplishments.

“Watching Clearpath Robotics grow into a successful international company within six years from the time the founders graduated is extremely gratifying for Waterloo Engineering. The founders of Clearpath Robotics are an excellent example of how our students create new economic success by discovering gaps in the marketplace and responding with innovative engineering solutions.”
Wayne Parker, Acting Dean, Faculty of Engineering
