Precise
If precision is what you're looking for, the system can be upgraded with an RTK GPS system for 2 cm precision. The RTK system also eliminates GPS drift and provides complete testing repeatability.
Maneuverable
A compact form-factor with differential steering allows the Kingfisher to turn in place and maneuver in tight spaces. A small cross section, low profile, and incredibly shallow draft allows the system to be used in very shallow ponds near shores.
Immersible Payload
A payload mount with a throughway in the centre hull allows for full payload immersibility to accommodate a range of underwater sensing equipment, such as Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs)
Portable
Quick release mechanisms permit rapid set-up, take-down and easy storage. This also gives the flexibility to have one person load and unload the Kingfisher for transport.
Data Accessible
An open low-level communication protocol gives total data access to ensure all variables are well documented for your research.
Long-Range
Long-range point-to-point communication means your base station doesn't have to move. If you can see the Kingfisher, you can see your data.
Non-Polluting
